Bernice Lillian Collis (nee Clark)

Bernice Collis (nee Clark) passed away at Barrie Royal Victoria Hospital on August 23, 2023. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Originally from Oro Station, she resided in Sudbury for more than thirty years and retired to Barrie with her husband, Bill.

She is survived by her daughter Janet Palmer of Barrie, son Brian Collis (Kathy) of Winnipeg; and grand-children David Webb (Charlotte), Evin (Carla), Brianna (Chris) and Blake Collis; great-grandson Samuel Webb. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, sister Rita Cripps and brother Norman Clark.

Bernice was a vibrant woman who enjoyed travel and the arts, and was a member of the Barrie YMCA into her 90s. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Women’s and Children’s Shelter of Barrie.
