Catherine Ann Smith

Catherine Ann Smith, 88, of Orillia Ont. died peacefully with family at her side on 5 November 2025.  Although she died within walking distance of where she was born, she lived in several Ontario communities, with most of her life spent in Barrie. Ann is survived by her three children Tom (Piyali), Jeff (Susan) and Paula (Don), six grandchildren Lyle, Austin, Zoey, Jem, Sarah and Kate, two great grandchildren Ruby and Ruarie, as well as two siblings Peter and Bob (Bonnie), a niece Deb, three nephews Rob, Michael and Danny and several cousins. Ann is predeceased by her sister Margaret.

Those close to Ann know she loved reading, volunteering, her cats and of course the colour red.  A celebration of life will be held at the Couchiching Golf and Country Club on 22 November 2025 from 1 to 4pm.
