Deborah Campbell Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Deborah “Debbie” Laurene Campbell on June 19, 2025, at Royal Victoria Hospital. She was 71 years old.

Born on June 11, 1954, Debbie was a vibrant, loving woman whose beautiful smile and infectious laugh brought joy to everyone she met. She was the heart of her family and the soul of her community, always ready to lend a hand, share a comforting word, or brighten someone’s day.

Debbie shared nearly 51 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Wayne Campbell. Together they built a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Tracy Sanford (husband Steve) and Meegan Klamot (husband Mark), and a proud Grammie to her beloved grandchildren Jack, Laurie, and Mason. Watching them play hockey, lacrosse, and dance was her greatest joy. Being Grammie was her favourite role of all.

Cherished as the daughter of Raymond and Laurene Charlton and the sister of Leslie Charlton (wife Almeda), Debbie will also be fondly remembered by her nephew Adam and niece Milynne. She leaves behind a circle of dear friends who were considered family, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth and kindness.

A gifted craftswoman, Debbie had a talent for sewing and creating beautiful things. She spent her childhood by the water at Lake Scugog and enjoyed adult years at Balsam Lake. Her winter retreats in Florida brought sunshine, new friendships, and laughter. Whether cruising, camping, or embarking on spontaneous adventures, she embraced life with openness and enthusiasm.

Debbie’s home was always a place of welcome and love. Her caring spirit and generosity touched countless lives. She was a mother and Grammie not just to her own family, but to many who were lucky enough to be embraced by her love.

She leaves a legacy of kindness, creativity, and unconditional love. Her memory will forever be a blessing.

All are welcome to join the family in celebrating Debbie’s life, sharing memories, and honoring
her beautiful spirit. Debbie was one of a kind—forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered
