Douglas Leonard Wilson

Douglas Leonard Wilson passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on June 5th, 2026.

Doug dedicated much of his life to education, teaching in Toronto for many years and making a positive impact on the lives of countless students. He was known for his patience, kindness, and commitment to helping others learn and succeed.

Outside of his career, Doug cherished time spent with his family and friends and was especially devoted to his beloved dogs, Lisa, Buddy and Auggie whose companionship brought him great joy. He will be remembered for his caring nature, generous spirit, and the many wonderful memories he shared with those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends . 

Doug you may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. Thank you Doug, for the beautiful memories and the endless love you gave to family and friends.  We were so blessed and grateful to have you in our lives.
