Jack Ouwendyk, a dedicated farmer and an incredibly hard worker, passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on October 6, 1938, Jack immigrated to Canada in 1951 from Holland with his parents, Hank and Barbara, along with his nine sisters and five brothers. This journey marked the beginning of a life filled with love, hard work, and commitment to family.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; their sons, Michael and Brian (Darlene); and daughter, Lynn (Dan). He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Dakota, Brooke, Sierra, Sydney, Avery, Peyton, and Reese, who brought immense joy to his life.
Jack was known for his tireless dedication to farming and his incredible resilience. He was most known for a farm accident 60 years ago that nearly took his life, but Jack was a fighter then and continued to demonstrate that same strength throughout his life, battling dementia with courage and grace.
His contributions to the community and the love he showed to his family will not be forgotten.
In keeping with Jacks wishes there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Jack’s memory.
