Kay McKiernan

Kay McKiernan -  Kay of Brockville and Thornton passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2022 in her 106th year.  Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) . Dear mother of Bill (deceased), (Dawna), Mary (deceased), Teresa Greensides ( Dan Mercer) and Bob McKiernan ( Sheila).  Loving grandma to Geoff McKiernan, Greg (Joanne) McKiernan, Kathy ( Rob) Carter, Kelly (Mark) Halls, Julie (Jonathon) and  Jennifer McKiernan ( Tom).  Great grandmother of Amy McKiernan and Owen and Emma Halls.  Dear sister of Madeline of Brockville and predeceased by brothers Albert, Jimmy, Charlie, Raymond and Harry and sisters Eudora and Nina. Kay’s kindness, gentle smile, complimentary nature and her love of children were her trademarks. She was an avid, above average card player and  took great pride in her garden. It was always world class.  She will be remembered as a gentle soul.  A big thankyou to the staff on 2 East at Mill Creek.  Your care and kindness will be forever appreciated.  Kay’s life will be celebrated on Friday May 27th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass at Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Road, Barrie. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 - 11:00a.m. Memorial donations to Mill Creek Care Centre, Barrie or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.  (Arrangements entrusted to the Paul F.
