Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ian D. Wallis. Sister of Elizabeth Laycock. Loving mother of Katherine (Gerry), Andrea (Gord), Elaine (David) and Maureen (Enzo). Proud grandmother of Olivia, Camilla, Matthew, Patrick, Eric, Colleen, Mark, Michael, Ryan and Jacob. Great grandmother of 14. Marian loved visits from her great grandchildren and her eyes lit up every time she saw them.
For many years, Marian was an active member of St. James Anglican Church in Orillia. She was a member of the ACW, altar guild, Pennywise Thrift Shop and many church committees. Marian was an avid gardener and was proud of her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed quilting and reading.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Spencer House for their care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held at St. James Anglican Church Orillia on Friday, March 13th at 11 am. As the flowers in the church will be given in loving memory of Marian by the family, if desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Canadian Bible Society or a charity of your choice.
