Raymond Harvey Goodison

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Father, Raymond Harvey Goodison at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto from complications after a fall. He was 87. Our Dad, lovingly known as “Krusty,” was born in Toronto and lived most of his adult life in Cookstown. He will be missed by several Cookstown locals, all who loved his “Krusty” side. He was also a dialysis patient at Stevenson’s Memorial Hospital in Alliston for over 10 years.  He loved the nurses who took great care of him and he will be greatly missed.  In fact, Dad commented how grateful he was to his nurses and doctors for their care.  His quality of life remained excellent until his fall at the beginning of October.  

Our Dad is predeceased by our wonderful Mother and his wife of 45 years, Alice (Billie) Marion Goodison (nee McColl) who passed away on June 30, 2006.   Ray is survived by his daughter, Denise Alexandria Duncan (Keith Duncan) and his son, Ronald Howard Goodison (Sharon Betteson Goodison). His grandchildren: Kelly Somers-Harris (Jonathan Somers-Harris), Michael Duncan (Alexa Duncan), Dayleen Caceres, (Juan Caceres), and Jordan Goodison.  He was also “Great Grandfather” to: Lydia, Kaz, and Lawrence Somers-Harris and James Duncan. He was a career truck driver with Consumers Distributing and his favourite activities included Canadian Vintage Modified car racing with his son and horse racing; Pacer and Trotters.

A Celebration of Life for Ray “Krusty” Goodison will be held November 2, 2025 at the Cookstown Pub - 52 Queen St. Cookstown, ON beginning at 2:00pm.
